Making a Living as a Poet - Aldeburgh

The Poetry and Spoken Word Group has teamed up with the Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival 2017 to present another event in its Making a Living series. 

Keith Jarrett, Clare Pollard and William Sieghart talk to the group's Chair, Tamar Yoseloff, about their experiences as professionals in the poetry industry, including practical money-making advice. 

Keith Jarrett is a performance poet and fiction writer. He has an MA in Creative Writing, and is currently working on his first novel. 

Clare Pollard has published five poetry collections with Bloodaxe. She works as an editor, broadcaster and teacher, and was recently appointed editor of Modern Poetry in Translation.

William Sieghart founded the Forward Prizes for Poetry in 1992 and National Poetry Day in 1994. He is an entrepeneur, philanthropist, writer and broadcaster. 

Tamar Yoseloff is a poet and freelance creative writing tutor. Her latest collection, A Formula for Night: New and Selected Poems, was published by Seren in 2015.
