Annual General Meeting
The TA AGM is open to members only. It is free to attend but please book your place.  Please email Catherine Fuller with any issues you may like to raise in advance

Our warm thanks to outgoing Committee member Peter Bush and outgoing co-Chairs Antonia Lloyd-Jones and Nicky Harman.  We welcome new co-Chairs Charlotte Collins and Ruth Martin and are grateful to Nicky Harman for staying on the Committee for an additional year as Vice-Chair to assist the co-Chairs with their new role.

The Committee’s nominations for new members are Sasha Dugdale, Kareem Abdulrahman, Ruth Martin (re-election).   Any member wishing to stand as an alternative candidate should submit their name, together with written support from two other members, to the TA Secretary by 25 October.

When Translators Set Up as Publishers
What happens when a translator sets up as a publisher?  The phrase ‘poacher turned gamekeeper’ comes to mind. But is this fair? Three translators talk about their work in publishing and share some reflections on how their past experience has shaped their current practice, their choice of books, and how they work with translators.  Deborah Smith (Tilted Axis Press) chairs the discussions with Alex Gallenzi (Alma Books) and Cécile Menon (Les Fugitives)

Members are welcome to bring a guest to the panel discussion. We anticipate the AGM will finish at approximately 6pm.
