Nell Leyshon

Nell Leyshon’s first novel, Black Dirt, was long-listed for the Orange prize. Her recent novel, The Colour of Milk, was published worldwide. She has previously served on both the Broadcasting Committee and the Management Committee.

Her plays include Comfort Me With Apples, which won an Evening Standard Award, and Bedlam, which was the first play written by a woman for Shakespeare’s Globe. She is currently writing a play for the National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic. She also writes drama for BBC Radio 3 and 4, and won the Imison Award for her first radio play, Milk (co-written with Stephen McAnena). Follow Nell on Twitter.
