The 2017/18 Shaw Society Playwriting  Award is now in its sixth year.


The task is to write  a short play based on the extraordinary world events of our time and how they might have been treated by Shaw if he had been alive today.  Alternatively entrants can write a sequel, prequel or interlude to Shaw’s On the Rocks, again with an eye on current events.  


As well as a prize of £500, the winner will be able to enjoy  a performance of their play by professional actors,  recorded, and posted on our website. A recording of the performance will be available to the winner.
