Whether you are an established medical writer, or are writing your first medical book, you should consider joining the Medical Writers Group of the Society of Authors, which was formed in 1979 to offer practical help and advice to medical authors, and to provide a forum for discussion on issues affecting medical writers.
Medical Book Awards
One of the group's functions is to judge the Society's Medical Book Awards, which promote excellence in medical writing. Over the years we have been fortunate to collaborate on these prizes with Bupa, the Medical Society of London and, for the past nine years, the Royal Society of Medicine Press.
This year the Society is administering four Awards, and we are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Medico-Legal Society.
