Cookies on the Society’s website
When you visit www.societyofauthors.org we use Google Analytics to help analyse how our website is used. This analytical tool uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form - for example, how you enter our site, how you navigate through the site, and what information was of interest to you.
The cookies we use identify you only as a number (no other personal information is recorded). The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google in strict confidence and only for the purpose described.
Why we do this
We use the information collected by cookies to help us find out what is most effective about our site, identify ways to improve it and make it more effective.
The Society of Authors will not use (and will not allow any third party to use) the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site.
