Louise Rogers Lalaurie

Louise translates from French and campaigns for translator recognition at #namethetranslator, #TranslationThurs, #WITMonth, and #womenintranslation. She studied at Queens' College, Cambridge and the University of London Institute in Paris, and has almost thirty years experience as a translator, editor, writer in the UK and France.
 

Her published translations include five novels, numerous short stories and over 30 non-fiction titles (art, heritage, lifestyle, travel). She is the winner of three French Voices awards (most recently for Gabrielle Wittkop's Murder Most Serene, Wakefield Press, 2015. Her translation of Olivier Truc's  thriller Forty Days Without Shadow was shortlisted for the 2014 Crime Writers Association International Dagger.
