Merryn Glover

Merryn Glover is both a prize-winning writer of fiction and plays, and a qualified English and Drama teacher.  Her short stories have featured on Radio 4 and in numerous literary magazines and anthologies.  Drama work includes a stage play and four radio plays, the most recent being My Life and Other Stories on Radio 4.  Her first novel, A House Called Askival, set in India, was published by Freight Books in 2014.  She travelled for seven months with her family and wrote a blog of their cricket games along the way: http://aroundtheworldin80wickets.wordpress.com/.  An Australian, brought up in South Asia, and now living in Scotland, her writing often explores crossing cultures and the shifting landscapes of identity, belief and belonging.  She has extensive experience running writing and performance workshops for all age groups and ability levels, and welcomes new opportunities.  She is registered with both Live Literature Scotland  http://www.scottishbooktrust.com/learning-and-inclusion/sbt-learning-and-inclusion-projects/live-literature and the National Association of Writers in Education http://www.nawe.co.uk/.   Her website is www.merrynglover.com
