Mr Nathan Dylan Goodwin

Nathan

The internationally acclaimed, British author of historical genealogical mystery crime fiction, The Forensic Genealogist series.

Born in the famed battle-town of Hastings, England, Nathan has always had a passion for writing in various forms. Having gained a degree in Radio, Film and Television Studies, he went on to gain a Masters degree in Creative Writing, from Canterbury Christ Church University. It was during the final assessments for the MA course that he wrote the opening chapters to The Forensic Genealogist, which would later go on to become Hiding the Past, the first book in The Forensic Genealogist series. He actually started his writing career in non-fiction, his first book Hastings at War being published in May 2005, and is credited in the accompanying book to the TV series, Foyles War. This work was followed by three further local history books pertaining to the area around Nathan's home town of Hastings. Whilst writing these books he trained as a teacher and worked for several years in two lovely primary schools. As his Forensic Genealogist series became more and more popular, Nathan left teaching and pursued the creation of his character, Morton Farrier's series. Nathan currently lives in Kent with his husband, son and dog and is working on three new exciting projects, as well as the ninth instalment of the Forensic Genealogist series (updated, Sep. 2018).
